EASEL CARD

Good Evening!!
Well .... I wasn't going to post anymore tonight and then I had a little look on my friend Sharon's blog and found this challenge Creative Inspiratons - Easel Card and have the perfect card to enter.  I made this card for my daughter's birthday from ... wait for it ..... our dog!! I know I'm mad :o).  The easel card is made using a scallop circle nestability and, once again, I can thank Sharon for this technique as she did it in a class and I thought what a great idea - so all credit to her.
I thought it would also be perfect for the challenge at Creative Cottage - Circles - I hope scallop circles count.
Thanks for looking :o) xx

FUN IN THE SUN

Just a quick post before I go make tea.  I set myself a "challenge" with this card ... there were five challenges I wanted to enter so I had to make sure the card matched all the themes - after some playing around I was really pleased with the outcome.  The images are stamped from a clear stamp set from Kars, I cut the biggest scallop circle nestie and embossed it added some faux stitching and also highlighted the text (you don't realise how much you rely on design papers until you can't use them!!).  All in all think I achieved it.
Hope you like it :o) xx

SHADES OF YELLOW

Hello everyone.  Well ... I finally feel a bit better today after not being well for a few days so i've made some cards to get my fix of challenges and it feels like ages since I was in my crafting corner and posted any but it was only Sunday!  This card was made with 3 challenges in mind:

I dont know how it happened but I sort of gravitated towards a yellow theme, which is a colour I rarely use, but it seem to come together well.  The DP is K&Co - Dollshouse and some spotty Bazzill, and i've made the flowers from an old "originals" Sizzix die I found in my drawer - Build a Flower.  The greeting was printed straight onto the Bazzill using Wordart and then punched out with a circle punch.  The Magnolia stamp is "sweet Tilda" and is, of course, coloured in with Promarkers!!
Thanks for looking :o) xx

Well..... its my second post of the day and I can't promise it's going to be my last lol - I've found all these great challenges and just want to make more and  more cards!!  I've had loads of digi images for ages but forget they are there - but have discovered lots of challenges involving them so I thought .. great .. I can finally use them - digi images are great because you can print them again and again and in any size you want.
For this card I have use a Charmed Cards and Crafts Digital Download along with pulling out my trusty Cuttlebug which, I have to admit, I haven't used to make textured backgrounds for ages so that was different.
The challenges I am entering are:

TULIPS

Still sitting in my conservatory, still enjoying the peace and quiet and still cruising blogland, once again found a great challenge from my friend Sharon and thought this card would be great to enter,  I made this card for a demo I did at In2Crafting on colouring techniques.  I used a Tulip brass stencil I had and ran it through the Cuttlebug to emboss it and then simply coloured the raised image with chalks - simple technique but very effective.

BABY EASEL CARD

Hello Blogland!!
What a gorgeous day - I've been sitting in the garden and gone a little bit pink so decided to come inside and made a card (as you do :)).
A colleague of my hubbies has just had a baby girl so he needed me to make him a card and I decided to combine this by doing a tutorial on my other blog Lynne is In2Crafting (pop over and have a look).
Easel cards are so "in" at the moment and so easy to achieve - I used some new goodies we got in at the shop this week from Kanban
Thanks for looking - hope you like it :)
