SPRING FLOWERS

Afternoon All
I thought I'd drop by a tell you that I am sponsoring CRAFTY CALENDER CHALLENGE BLOG this time round from my SENTIMENTS 4 YOU digi store.
The ladies very kindly offered me a Guest Designer Spot
and I jumped at the chance to make a card - it gave me the chance to use one of my new Magnolia stamps which is NOT a Tilda LOL - but it is TULIPS which are my absolute favourite flowers - in fact my daughter bought me a beautiful bunch of them today for Mother's Day :)
Pop on over and check out all the DT cards ... they are gorgeous!!
Here's my card ...

As I said this is one of my new Magnolia stamps - I coloured with promarkers and added glitter - did some "real" stitching for a change using a template.  The sentiment is one of mine and can be found at SENTIMENTS 4 YOU and is part of a set of 6 - Circle Definitions - as either a stamp set or digi downloads
Thanks for stopping by :)

A DIFFERENT TECHNIQUE

Good Morning All!!
Hope you are well :o)
I've been busy this week preparing for a colouring techniques demo I'm doing at In2Crafting on Saturday 21st - making lots of different samples.
I'm trying not to just use Promarkes LOL - I will be demonstrating Promarkers, of course, but I will also be colouring with pencils and blending with solution, painting with distress inks and this technique below which I tried this week and I'm quite taken with it  - I have printed an image off of a CD Rom in black & white onto textured white card and have then used chalks to highlight different areas - a really simple technique but very effective

I also added some glossy accents

I would like to enter :

I hope you like it and if you live locally to me pop along to the demo and say Hi :o)

DEMO SAMPLES

Hey everyone!!
Sorry I haven't been around for a couple of days but I was at work all day today and have been a busy bee this week - supervising my hubby make a concrete base for our summer house lol - I needed to keep an eye on him :o) I've also started making my samples for my colouring techniques demo I'm doing on 21st August and working on some samples for a Magnolia with Promarkers workshop I'm doing Tuesday week.
Anyway - thought I'd share with you a couple of the cards I made for my Demo - these are both stamps from the Papermania Nostalgia range and they work perfectly with distress inks.  All I've done is stamp them, then using a waterbrush fill them in to give them a painted effect

Hope you like them :o)
I'll be back later in the week with some more samples to show you

Hope you all had a good Bank Holiday weekend - weather was a bit of a wash out ... but hey .... great for crafting!!
Thought I'd start the day with a challenge or two :o)
I've followed a sketch, used faux stitching, a bit of embossing, a colour theme, and a Lili of the Valley stamped image and .... for once ..... NOT coloured with promarkers but used my Lyra Polycolour pencils and used the blender pencil to blend the edges - it made a real change!!

STRAWBERRIES & CREAM

Hello Again!!
Well ... 2nd posting of the day and I can't promise its going to be my last lol!! I seem to be on a roll today so may well be back later with another. Anyway - I really wanted to do Passion for Promarkers challenge this week because I have had this paper for a while and its absolutely perfect!! I've combined it with a few other challenges - as you do - so here it is .........

I've used a Mo Manning digi image and coloured her with promarkers, the paper, as I said, i've had for ages but its from DCWV and the "charm" I made myself from a free stamp I got with Craft Stamper magazine - wording is from an Inkadinkadoo stamp set "thoughts for the day"
Thanks for looking :o) xx

FUN IN THE SUN

Just a quick post before I go make tea.  I set myself a "challenge" with this card ... there were five challenges I wanted to enter so I had to make sure the card matched all the themes - after some playing around I was really pleased with the outcome.  The images are stamped from a clear stamp set from Kars, I cut the biggest scallop circle nestie and embossed it added some faux stitching and also highlighted the text (you don't realise how much you rely on design papers until you can't use them!!).  All in all think I achieved it.
Hope you like it :o) xx
