FREEBIE .. SORT OF AT SENTIMENTS 4 YOU

Morning All
First of all can I say thank you so much for all your support and wonderful comments .. we, as a family, have been truly overwhelmed
Daniel is doing well .. he completed his second cycle of chemo on Wednesday and has one more to go ... then he has an MRI scan on 8th June to hopefully tell us it's gone!!
He has had a few side effects .. mainly feeling really tired but generally "just getting on with life" - I can't begin to tell you how proud we are of him dealing with this the way he has ... he is just amazing!!
Right ... now to the freebie .. sort of lol
As I told you before .. I am going to be making cards to sell in aid of the Teenage Cancer Trust ... here's my page if you want to have a look http://www.teenagecancertrust.org/get-involved/as-a-fundraiser/fundraisers/my-sponsored-slim/
Well ... for the first time in a while I sat down and designed some more sentiments this week ... all with a "Get Well" theme ready for when I start making my cards and I have decided to pop them on
SENTIMENTS 4 YOU - click here to donate
As the title says they are sort of a freebie ... all monies I make from the sale of this set will go straight to the Teenage Cancer Trust ... all my sets of sentiments are normally £1.99 but this set is JUST £1.00GBP all you need to do is click the donate button at the bottom of the post and paypal will automatically take £1.00 from you and I will send the set of sentiments to you
Here they are .....
I hope you have fun playing with them as much as I'm going to ... I'll will pop some pics on of the cards I make as and when I  make them :)
Once again thank you all so much for your support .. it means so much :)

AN UPDATE ON WHERE I'VE BEEN

Afternoon All
Grab a cuppa ...this is a long post LOL
I thought you all deserved an explanation as to why I haven't been blogging
Unfortunately at the end of February we had some really bad news ... our 18 year old son Daniel has been diagnosed with Hodgkins Lymphoma (Cancer of the Lymph Nodes)
As you can imagine the news has devastated us ... for the past few weeks Daniel has been undergoing a battery of tests and scans and last week everything was confirmed ... he has stage 2 cancer and will need to undergo Chemotherapy.  He had his first dose last Wednesday and seems to be coping really well
He is being treated at University College Hospital in London and we have to go up there weekly for the next 6 weeks for his Chemotherapy.
The good news is that the prognosis is good and hopefully when the treatment finishes he will be cured
As you can imagine the last thing I have felt like doing is crafting and it wasn't until this weekend that I actually started looking at blogs again and feeling like I wanted to do some crafting
The last few weeks have been awful and if it wasn't for the fantastic care Daniel is receiving I don't know what we would do ... the unit he is being treated at has been funded by TEENAGE CANCER TRUST and I decided that I wanted to do some fundraising to help this fantastic charity
I have decided to do two things ... I'm doing a sponsored slim and hope to lose 2stone in 3months ... I started last Wednesday (the day Daniel started his Chemotherapy) and am doing really well (I've lost 5lbs already) and have created a fundraising page for people to donate ... if you would like to donate please click on the link below or even if you don't donate pop over and have a look at the fantastic work they do and the amazing facilities where Daniel is being treated
They would be so grateful for any donations made and it's such a worthwhile charity
I have also decided that as and when I get back into crafting I will be selling the cards I make .. As I "blog" them there will be details on how to buy them ... all proceeds I receive will go straight to the charity as well
Well .. hopefully you are still with me LOL so thanks for taking the time to listen to me and I hope to be back blogging very soon
I'll leave you with a pic of me and my boy on his 18th birthday in December last year ...

HOME SWEET HOME

Afternoon blogland :)
What a wet, cold and miserable day it is today here in Essex :( ... so I'm crafting :)
Thought I'd stop by and share with you a couple of New Home cards I've made ... hubby asked me to make them for two of his team who are moving house ... so here they are ... same - but different lol

They are both DIGISTAMP BOUTIQUE images - you get a set of three houses separately and three houses joined together and I've coloured them with Copics, matted and layered and used Martha Stewart punches on both and finished off with ribbon and card candi.  The sentiment is one of mine from a set of 6 - LINE SENTIMENTS - NEW HOME
I've added them to the January Competition over at DIGISTAMP BOUTIQUE BLOG
Hope you like them and thanks for stopping by ... catch up with you soon
