SUMMER WEDDING DAYS!!

Evening All!!

Sorry I'm late in posting today - been a busy bee - clearing up my craft room - big job!!!! Anyway .... I've made this card for a wedding i'm going to on Saturday (the wedding is the one my daughter is bridesmaid for).

Unusually for me I haven't stamped or coloured in promarkers but have used a Kanban kit - which i've layered up, added some glitter, ribbon and gems and i'm really pleased with it.

As usual I've found a couple of challenges :

Hey Everyone!! Again!!

I've had this Mo Manning image for a while and not used him yet so decided to see if I could find a challenge or two to enter him into - and I did!!  I coloured him with promarkers and used some DP from Papermania - Hampstead collection.  The gems are part of that collection too.  I distressed the edge of the papers to give a vintage feel.

SQUEEZES!!

Hey Everyone!!!

It feels like ages since I posted a card - but i'm feeling better now so have been playing this afternoon :o)  This is my new download from Phindy's Place - Squeezes - I love her images!!! I've coloured her with promarkers layered her up on nesties and DCWV backing paper.  The butterflies are cut using one of my martha stewart butterfly punches (which I love at the mo!!) - the sentiment is from Stampin Up.

My Challenges are:

SANTA IS ON HIS WAY!!

Morning All!!

Off to work this morning so i'll make this a quickie - here is my third DT card for Die Cut Dreams Christmas Club  and i'm loving every minute of it!!!  What a dream to colour my Edwin as Santa and I thought i'd do him a bit differently this time - I just used my Cool Grey selection of promarkers and made him black&white - I really like the effect and kept everything else black, white or silver to match :o)

PEEKABOO BOY

Hey all!!

Weather not so good here today so spent the day making some DT cards for future challenges and generally having fun!! Couldn't go the day though without posting so decided to do a simple card - I've had this digi image for a while from Karen's Doodles - he's called Peekaboo Boy and their challenge this week is clean and simple so that fitted the bill well.  I've coloured him with promarkers and used nestabilities and a Martha Stewart butterfuly punch - the sentiment is from Sentimental Sundays and was a freebie.

GUEST BOOK

Hey everyone!! I'm Back!!

Well ... I've spent all day today making the wedding card and the guest book and I have just finished yay!!! The best news is my daughter loves them both :o)  The colours and theme of the wedding are pink and butterflies so I needed to incorporate both - I have covered chipboard with dotty bazill, and bound it together with my bind it all machine and tied ribbon around the rings, the names and date are cut on my Cricut machine and the butterflies are Martha Stewart - I'm really pleased with it :o)

TILDA'S GETTING MARRIED

Hi Everyone!!

Well..... I have a task ahead of me today ... My daughter is being a bridesmaid for one of her best friends and I have the job of making her a card to give to the bride and groom and also make a guest book as a wedding present!! I bought the Tilda/Edwin married stamp a while ago with this card in mind and had great fun colour co-ordinating it with the wedding theme.  But ... you know me.... I can't just make a card - I have to enter in some challenges lol :o)

I have coloured the "happy couple" with promarkers and added some glitter, used some wedding DP by Papermania, added flowers, swirls and pearls to complete :o)  The sentiment is from Create with TLC which has some great sentiments :o)

Hello Again!!

2nd posting of the day - and probably the last as I'm having the family over later for a BBQ - glad i'm not cooking in this heat lol :o)

I downloaded this image a week or so ago and couldn't wait to use it - it's from Phindy's Place and its called "Birdie" - I just love her!! I've coloured her with promarkers .. but this time I printed out onto watercolour paper to try, and it gives a "feathered" effect - something a little different.  I have followed a sketch and colour theme and added a few embellies :o)

A BEARY MERRY CHRISTMAS

Morning All!!

Well .... where did last week go - it just flew by .... and another week at DCD Christmas Club where the challenge is A Beary Merry Christmas.  This is a Go Kreate die cut bear which I bought ages ago and, as you do, put it away and forget about it and when this challenge was set I knew I had to use him.  You can get lots of different accessories for him but his hat and scarf just sums up winter!!  I've cut the snowflakes using "vivelle" textured papers which gives them a "fluffy" feel and just torn some glitter card to look like snow :o)

CHOCOLATE TILDA - mmmmm yummy!!

Hi Everyone!!

What a morning - spent most of it in the hospital waiting to have a blood test that took about 5 minutes!!  Never mind ... all done now :o) 

Now this card is made for a new friend and fellow DT member - LORI - it's her birthday tomorrow and as I can't give it to her personally (she lives in the USA) I'll post it here - but .... as we all know ... you can't just make a card and not enter a few challenges lol - so here is Lori's card - I have used Sweet Tilda, coloured her with promarkers and used some glitter, i've done some distressing and used flower, pearls and pins, a bit of doodling some lace and there we have it!

Sorry I'm late in posting today but i've been out to lunch with my two brothers for one of their birthdays and what a lovely lunch I had :o)

This is an older Tilda but she is sooooo cute!! I love ALL Tildas.  This time she is part coloured with promarkers and part paper-pieced (her dress and bows in her hair).  I've followed a sketch and added some flowers - all in all some cheery summer fun!!

Good afternoon everyone - what a beautiful day!!

It will have to be a quick posting today as the sun is just too good to miss lol - but .. needs must ... and it's my brother's birthday this week and i'm meeting him for lunch on Wednesday so must get his card done!

I bought a set of silhouette stamps a while ago and haven't used them yet so thought they would be perfect as he has just taken early retirement and this probably sums him up!! I have used distressing ink to make the background and also distressed the DP - the sentiment is computer generated and cut out with nestabilities.

SOME MORE GOOD NEWS!!!

Hey everyone!!

Sorry there has been no posting of cards for a couple of days but I spent all day wednesday at the hospital with my silly ears, yesterday was a girlie day shopping with my daughter and today I have been working.

But .... I wanted to share some good news with you!! I have known for a few days but had to wait until it was announced today - which was soooo difficult because I was soooo excited. I have been asked to join the Cooking It Up With Katie Design Team.  Just how lucky have I been - to be asked to join one DT is brilliant but two in one week I honestly am speechless (which is a first for me lol), and I am privileged to be on both!!

Katies challenge blog is a recipe challenge which, until the end of July will be fortnightly but from 4th August will run weekly.  It's great fun, so get yourself over there check out all the other DT blogs and have a go yourself.

So, until tomorrow when I'll be back to post my first DT card for DCD Christmas Club challenge i'll bid you all a very good night :o)
