HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO DI

Afternoon all

Couldn't show you this card until today and I hadn't given it to my friend Di :) It was actually her birthday last week but I saw her last night - had a fab night out with the girls - so good to get together!!

Her favourite colour is green ... so green it had to be!!

This is one of my new Tildas and I've paper pieced her balloon to match the DP and for a change I've stamped onto watercolour paper and painted with distress inks ... I really must do this more often as I really enjoyed it :), punch the side with my stampin up punch so it looks like I've torn it out the book and finished off with a swirl, a bow and some card candy.  The sentiment is one of mine and can be found as part of a set of 6 at SENTIMENTS 4 YOU

Third post of the weekend - If all has gone to plan - and the scheduling has worked LOL!

Here's mine

This is Chinese Tilda .. and I just love her!!! I've painted her with distress inks for a change and jazzed her up with some gold glitter, I've sprayed the heart shaped doiley with gold glitter spray, the papers are DCWV - Far East collection, the sentiment is from a set of 4 Oriental which you can find at SENTIMENTS 4 YOU (if the scheduling has worked LOL)

DEMO SAMPLES

Hey everyone!!

Sorry I haven't been around for a couple of days but I was at work all day today and have been a busy bee this week - supervising my hubby make a concrete base for our summer house lol - I needed to keep an eye on him :o) I've also started making my samples for my colouring techniques demo I'm doing on 21st August and working on some samples for a Magnolia with Promarkers workshop I'm doing Tuesday week.

Anyway - thought I'd share with you a couple of the cards I made for my Demo - these are both stamps from the Papermania Nostalgia range and they work perfectly with distress inks.  All I've done is stamp them, then using a waterbrush fill them in to give them a painted effect

CAT IN A BRA :O)

Hey everyone!!

Well...... I thought I wouldn't be able to enter any challenges this week what with my kitchen being fitted but after having a look around my favourite challenges I found two that I could enter this card for .... yay!!!. I made this card for my niece's birthday a while ago but have never posted it. I absolutely love this stamp - it's probably one of my favourite Penny Black stamps, I have painted it with distress inks and added some glitter, used some gems, flowers and some doodling around the edges.

I thought i'd try my hand again this week at the  Crafty Catz Challenge - white and one other colour by entering this card I made for my sister-in-law's birthday last week - as usual i'm using a Magnolia stamp but this time instead of using my trusty promarkers I thought I would "paint" it with distress inks - quite enjoyed it and it made a change :)
